NIJ Students' week, slated for May 18-23, 2015

The Students' Week of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos State, has been a five years running platform for all students of the institution to mingle together, express our feelings, share ideas and relate with one another, and these we have been able to achieve since its inception.

This year, we won't be left out, as the annual student's week will also take its place and reminiscences of the event will follow, as we will be putting heads together in celebrating its fifth year anniversary.

The event, which has been slated for May 18 to 23, 2015 (one week), will be a beehive of activities, which have been slated thus: 

MONDAY: Musical Concerts and Carnival, starring Five Disc Jockeys (5 DJs) and Musical acts, while on TUESDAY: Cultural Day; Cultural Exhibition, Drama and Film show (Titled: ANTIQUE), Indigenous musical performance, WEDNESDAY, will have: Lecture and Inter-School Debate, while THURSDAY: Mock Assembly, RAG Day, Corporate Social Responsibilty (visit to Orphanages), Cooking competition and Represent your clubs, programme on FRIDAY is the Final for all Sports Activities and Pageantry, and the last day, which is SATURDAY, will occupy the Grand Finale (Dinner/Awards Night). 

The 5th annual students' week will have in attendance celebrities and guests from all works of life, they include: Abiola Kazeem, Dr. Olusanya Awosan (S.A. to Pres. Goodluck Jonathan on P.R.)  Obesere Akande, Femi Adebayo, Falz,Phenom,Lace,Eminiic,African China,Toby Grey,YQ,Cj mama,Funny bone,Emma oh my God,Laff up,Pepenazi and many more.

Whereas, this is another chance for new students amidst us to get acquint with how things are been run in the school, especially among the students. We are using this opportunity to wish all the students a heart felt congratulations as we celebrate our fifth anniversary of students' week. We wish all more of it.
