The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria commenced their U-17 championship campaign in good form, beating the USA 2-0 in Chile.
Emmanuel Amuneke’s team was helped by goals from Chukwudi Agor and Victor Osimhen as they saw off the Americans in a keenly contested affair. The match was a tight affair, with the golden Eaglets spurning several chances.
They started brightly in the second half and took the lead in the 50th minute courtesy Chukwudi Agor.
The Golden Eaglets now top their group and are assured of qualification if they keep up their form.
