Ancelotti became close to Pirlo during their time together at AC Milan were they won the two UEFA Champions League, a Serie A title and a FIFA World Cup.
The Italian manager became friends with Lampard during his time as coach of Chelsea where he won the FA and English Premier League double in his first season.
