World-renowned entertainment icon, veteran rapper, and unofficial representative for everything that concerns weed, Snoop Dogg, has been investing in tech products and platforms for quite some time now.
However, Snoop has entered the tech space in a whole new way, with the launch of his very own platform called Merry Jane.
At
the core, Merry Jane is a lifestyle media site with cannabis at its
center. The site will serve as an information hub for people interested
in weed, and it will be loaded with both video content and editorial
content, whether it be the newbie or seasoned smoker.
Snoop, while announcing the Merry Jane app at the TechCrunch Disrupt, said the site will provide users with all they need to know about weed and be the encyclopedia of the cannabis world.
Snoop
also revealed that the site will have its own series, each focusing on
different aspects of weed as it relates to lifestyle.
The
shows will also include a cooking show, where people can learn to make
amazing edibles (or food that pairs well with cannabis consumption), to ‘Deflowered’
(a show that focuses on people’s first time doing something), as well
as exclusive celebrity interviews with celebrities that Snoop says are “down with the team” including Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus.
Snoop Dogg is a veteran rapper, often referred to as ‘Uncle Snoop’ by peers in the American music industry, has been investing in Silicon Valley outfits over the last few years through his Casa Verde Capital imprint.
