Kunle Afolayan‘s eagerly anticipated new movie “October 1” will hit cinemas on the 1st of October 2014. The movie celebrated its world premiere in Lagos last night!

Restriction: Riders, commuters bemoan police excesses

A commercial motorcyclist and a female passenger almost lost their lives when policemen attempted to arrest the rider on ACME Road, Ogba, Lagos. The policemen were said to be enforcing the restriction on tricycle operations on ACME Road by the Commissioner of Transportation, Mr Kayode Olaifa. The passenger, who gave her name as Mrs Cynthia, said the policemen tried to grab the motorcyclist at ACME junction on Lateef Kayode Jakande Road, Agidingbi.

According to her, the motorcycle summersaulted in the middle of the road while the rider was trying to evade arrest. Cynthia said that but for divine intervention, the vehicle coming behind would have crushed her and the rider to death. She was, however, thankful that she only sustained injury while blood was running down her hand and clothes.

The incident happened at exactly 5:30pm on Thursday as passers-by, commuters and sympathisers gathered at the scene. When our correspondents got to the scene, some of the policemen wearing mufti, stood at the bus stop, pretending to commuters. But those in uniform sat in their van.

Fans storm Australian airport to catch a glimpse of Kim & Kanye

Kim and Kanye are currently in Australia where Kanye is performing some shows. Kanye performed at Adelaide Hindmarsh Stadium on Sunday night and this morning, the power couple headed to the local airport to fly out to Melbourne for Kanye's next performance.

When fans heard, through social media, that Kim and Kanye will be flying commercial and will be passing through the airport, they stormed Adelaide airport to catch a glimpse of the couple. Of course, Kim and Kanye were escorted through the airport by bodyguards and several members of the Australia Federal Police. 'Our sons rape us on a daily basis' - Imo Christian mothers cry out

Christian Mothers in Mgbishii, a rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area in Imo state have cried out to the government and the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiatical Province, Dr. Anthony Obinna, over alleged atrocities being committed by their sons and daughters in the area.
According to Vanguard, the women made this appeal during a recent visit to the Catholic Archbishop at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral in Owerri.

"We are raped and molested by our own children. You cannot come to Mgbuishii and return home safely because of the crime rate" the women said. Continue...

A former female security guard who worked at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas released a video recently claiming that rapper Kendrick Lamar was investigated for allegedly brutally beating a woman and leaving her bloody in a room in the hotel. The guard claimed the battered woman called them for help and when they got to the room, found her in a terrible state. But the guard never said she saw Kendrick lay hands on the woman.
